Marketplace Integrations

Connect a Jiji, Tonaton, Bisame, or other classifieds listing to OjaSuite so orders land ready to review, bill, and collect payment against — without leaving OjaSuite.

Business & Enterprise plans. Marketplace Integrations are available on the Business and Enterprise plans. If you're on Starter and want a free way to sell online instead, see the Oja.Market article, or contact us to upgrade.

Overview

If you sell on a classifieds or marketplace platform, the sale itself usually happens somewhere else entirely — a WhatsApp thread, a phone call, a notebook. Marketplace Integrations closes that gap: connect a channel once, and orders or inquiries from it land inside OjaSuite as Marketplace Orders, ready for you to review and turn into a real invoice.

This is manual, self-serve tracking today — there's no live API handoff from Jiji, Tonaton, or Bisame yet. You (or a forwarded notification email) bring the order into OjaSuite; nothing is billed or sent to a buyer automatically.

Connecting a Channel

  1. Go to Settings → Marketplace Connections.
  2. Find the platform you sell on (Jiji, Tonaton, Bisame, or Other Platform for anything else) and open it.
  3. Optionally set a Default Branch — new orders from this channel will default to it.
  4. Check Enable this channel and click Save.

Getting Orders In

There are two ways to bring an order from a connected channel into OjaSuite:

MethodHow it works
Email forwarding Once a channel is connected, OjaSuite shows a dedicated inbound address (shown on the channel's settings card once connected). Forward or CC your platform's order/lead notification emails to that address, and each one lands in Marketplace Orders automatically, ready for review.
Add manually Go to Marketplace Orders → New Marketplace Order, pick the channel, and enter the buyer and item details yourself — useful for orders that arrive by phone, DM, or any channel without forwarding set up.

Reviewing and Billing an Order

Every marketplace order goes through the same simple lifecycle, visible as a status badge on its detail page:

  1. Pending — a new order has come in (by forwarding or added manually) and is waiting for you to look at it. From here you can Accept it or Reject it with a reason.
  2. Accepted — confirmed and ready to bill. Click Convert to Invoice to turn it into a real OjaSuite invoice with the buyer and items already filled in.
  3. Converted — the order is now linked to a real invoice. From here you bill and collect payment exactly as you would for any other invoice.

Nothing is ever billed or sent to a buyer without you clicking Convert to Invoice yourself — the review step is deliberate.

API Access & Direct Order Push

Each connected channel can generate an API key from its settings card. This is preparation for direct order push once a given platform supports it — today, generating a key gets you ready to paste it into that platform's OjaSuite integration field the moment it becomes available; it isn't required for the email-forwarding or manual-entry paths above.

Note: Marketplace Integrations run on a small commission on orders that come through a connected platform partnership. If a commission statement goes unpaid past its due date, marketplace access is temporarily restricted until the balance is cleared — you'll see a clear message explaining the outstanding amount if this happens.
